1. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk at night, aerial view from the perspective of Main Beach. You can see the silouhettes of Neptune's Kingdom (mini-golf, arcade, ballroom, once-pool) to the left, the Giant Dipper rollercoaster as the focal point, rightmost is towards the San Lorenzo River. The lights of the city of Santa Cruz are the background to this shot.
2. Santa Cruz Looff Carousel (1 of 6 remaining in the US), by the entrance of the park and the left of the Giant Dipper.
3. Still on the carousel, as far as I know it was one of the first additions to the Boardwalk. All of its horses were crafted by one master carver, and it's one of the only carousels still in operation that uses a brass ring dispenser (you can grab them if you ride on one of the outer horses) - you try to throw the brass rings into a painted clown's mouth (not pictured in the movie). Rumored to be haunted.
4. Main Beach on the right, River parking lot in the far back left. Giant Dipper still in central view with the log ride (the tubelike blue ride. Unfortunately I do not know its official name) in its shadow. The small shacks on the right side of the boardwalk are food stalls - not sure what they sold at the time of filming but I remember them having Dole whips, churros, slushes, deep-fried Twinkies, Oreos, Uncrustable PB+J sandwiches, kettle corn, potato twists, roasted corn, and Marini's (Marini's is a local candy company that sold that and caramel apples, fudge, ice cream, etc). One of my friends used to work at the Marini's stall in high school, then at a soft serve one with Foster's Freeze style quick-dry shells.
5. Close-up on the Giant Dipper entrance line. Captain's Galley was also still in operation as a food stand when I was growing up (early 2000-2010s).
6. Boardwalk parking lot bordering the San Lorenzo River, called 'River Lot' on the Boardwalk map. $10 per car.
